The west entrance into Holiday Park was closed this morning due to unforeseen complications with the city's sewer project.  You will need to enter the park using the east entrance at 14th Street until further notice.

Registration for the popular Holiday Park Baseball Club 2010 Second Season is now open.  Second Season runs from early July through Mid-August, and is a great way to keep your ballplayer on the diamond until school starts. 

Second season is designed to give players a chance to play games using the rules that they will use next Spring.  It emphasizes game action, as the 10-game schedule will likely consist of 2 weeknight games each week throughout the season. 

Coaches have also traditionally enjoyed the Second Season experience (with the busy game schedule, teams should not expect to practice), so we encourage you to volunteer to be a coach during the online registration process.

CALLING ALL HOLIDAY PARK BASEBALL FANS! 

Join us this Friday, April 23 at Holiday Park for the 2010 Opening Ceremonies.  This fun-filled evening kicks-off at 6:00 and includes a parade of teams, team introductions and on field festivities, followed by a baseball park style dinner, courtesy of Holiday Park Baseball Club.  Please have your player in uniform and at the Park by 5:30.  Read on for details . . .

Team and individual pictures will be taken on Saturday, April 10 at Hillside Elementary off of 8th Street in West Des Moines.  Below is the schedule - find your age group and team - the first time listed is the time that your team needs to arrive at the school, which is 15 minutes before your pictures are to be taken.  This gives us time to have everyone line up smallest to tallest and keeps everything moving in an orderly fashion to get everyone in at their scheduled times. 

Registration for the 2010 Holiday Park Baseball Club Spring Open League is now available.  Register by February 1st to guarantee a spot on a roster (and avoid a $20 late registration fee).  The Holiday Park Baseball Club Open League is made up of grade-based divisions in which teams are either assigned randomly (younger age divisions) or done via a draft (upper age divisions) following a brief player tryout.  This Spring Season runs from mid-April through late June.  <Click Here to Register Your Player Now>

Once again this year, Holiday Park Baseball Club will also offer the High School Prep League, specifically designed for Freshman & Sophomores that intend to play for their high school teams. It is a 12-game season squeezed into April and early May (before high school baseball practice starts up).
