• Certified umpires are supplied by the Greater Des Moines Umpire Association. Umpires are scheduled by the association based on our schedule.

Cost

• $250 Deposit due by January 19, 2010 to guarantee a spot.
• $50 Discount if entire league fee is received by February 1, 2010.

Deposits

A deposit of $250.00 is due no later than January 19, 2010 with preference given to returning teams, and then filled on a first come, first served basis. Field space is at a premium; therefore some leagues may need to be capped. Please fill out and mail our registration form and deposit to:

Rules

Holiday Park’s Competitive League will be sanctioned by U.S.S.S.A. Rules of play can be found at http://www.iowausssa.com/ and will be enforced, except where modified by Holiday Park Baseball Club ( these rules are in the coach’s manual found at http://www.wdmbaseball.com/).

Baseballs

Holiday Park provides each team one new baseball for every game.

Scheduling

• The coaches in each age division will schedule at one meeting early in the year. The scheduling meeting must be attended by at least one member from each team.

• Cancellations/No Shows: Any team that cancels less than one week in advance of the scheduled game or fails to show for their scheduled game will forfeit the game and pay their opponent for their loss ($71.00 or $89.00, depending on the age group).

Rainouts

We will not suspend or cancel games just for rain. We will suspend or cancel if the weather poses a threat to our players or if field conditions are unsafe. We try to make the call on games at least 1 hour before start time. The park manager on site will make this call along with the board of directors.
